Lowering truck right now....DONE...pics up.

So I have my bed off but I can't seem to get the bolts out of the hangers to unbolt my leafs. Do they HAVE to come out or can I cut the rivets...flip the hangers, and just go on with the process? Thanks in advanced!

it will make it alot easier if you unbolt them, get some PB blaster or wd40, otherwise your gonna have to get that grinder in weird *** positions and you may cut thru the hanger because of it.

uh...yeah the leafs need to be unbolted from the hanger. Use heat or a breaker bar or a air gun since you've got your bed off.

I got it soaked in PB right now but it just won't come through. I'm gonna go at it with a grinder on this side...it's only got two rivets and the others are bolts.....EFF this is more than a one man job, lol....

get an open end wrench in there and pull the bolt out. or a prybar. or a slide hammer/puller. may need to play with the amount of load on the spring a little bit with the floor jack.

yea jack the axle up and it should relieve some pressure on the leafs, allowing you to get the bolt out, it for sure is not a one man job, althought when i did it keith stood there and made sure i didnt get pinned under my truck and hand me tools that i needed

My bolts were fused to the metal sleeve that goes through the bushing. I ended up using a sawzall and cutting the bolt and replacing the bushings and bolts. Energy suspension has a set of bushings for pretty cheap.

You emblems were....well...easy as hell thanks to you wanting to paint the downhill portions of it buddo...get yourself some of the 06+'s and get to work. You'll see what a pain it is...
