when is it time for new shocks ?
I've recently noticed that when i go over the speed bumps in my apartment complex that the front end bounces more then it used to.
I've got 24,000 miles . Atleast 1,000 + miles on rough dirt roads.
i've got like the 3rd best shocks offered on my model so the next shock upgrade would of been bilsteins. The brochure said "payload package B , increased spring rates and premium gas shocks" ... I'm assuming these shocks are still garbage compared to bilsteins.
I just want to make sure i get my money's worth out of the shocks i have . how long might i expect bilsteins to last ?
when should i get new ones ?

shoot, my 33 BFG A/T's that i took off my truck this past spring had 44,000 miles on them.....i sold them to Bill(04lvl2) and he is running them.....even plans on using them through a Michigan winter.......they had another good 8-10,000 in them.......a GOOD tire should last 50,000 miles.......
now if you are running a Swamper, then no you shouldn't change shocks every time you wear a set of tires out because you wear Swampers out in about 20,000 miles.....

With all your offroading id suggest (when you have the money) to go and buy the Bisteins. I got mine when the truck only had 20K on it and wow what a difference. On road handling (around turns) was much better and offroad... well i think its quite obvous how much better it was vs stock. I can guarentee you have the same crappy black stock shocks as i did too, so yeah get the bilsteins
(same guy i got mine from, good seller, etc etc
