2000 lift kit

after blowing most of my paychecks on my truck in the past year i decided it wasn't worth it to sell it. so what i decided to do (since i was going to upgrade t the fseries) is just lift it. ill save on gas, get a sweet lookin truck, and not have to sell my prized possesion. Basically i have a 2wd. that makes it even harder to find lifts. I don't care about muddding (got caught once too many times..court at the end of august) i just want the look. stock tires is 225/70/15 i have 235/75/15, i want to fit 33s minimum but preferably 35s. where can i find a lift that will allow enough clearence for these tires. im fine with a body lift (in addition) if the suspenion lift wont be enough

its sounds exactly like you need a body lift. not sure if you can fit 33s for sure on your year, i'd like to think so but I don't know. cost maybe $200 plus install. as far as suspension you can get 3" lift spindles for the front and blocks or AAL for the rear.

There are plenty of lifts. You can get between 8-9" total if you wanted.

Here are the lifts and you can use any combo to get what you want. You will need 6" to fit 35's and 3-4" to fit 33's but it will rub a bit.

3" body lift
3" spindle lift
1-2.5" coil lift

I would recommend body and spindle. The coils make your front suspension all wacky. I had spindles and coils and fit 33's fine.

i'm not worried about install costs. i'll install the lift myself. ive done suspension lifts before but never a body lift. also if i went with the body lift i would need to find the bumper brackets. i cant stand the huge space between the body and bumpers when you get 3 inchs. so if i could get 3 inch spindles, 3 inch spacers, and then 3 inch body lift could i squeeze in some 35s with maybe some trimming on the valence? im afraid i might have to get wheel spacers too then, and wheel spacers mean fender flares because new jersey has a law about everything

Wirelessly posted

You can do 35's with 6" lift and some trimming. If I were you I would go with the 3" spindles and body lift and test it. If you need minor trimming do it or if you want more height out of coils do it. You only need like 6-7 inces to clear.

When I get home ill post pictures of a 2wd with 9" lift and 33's.

The body lift will clear 33's just fine. And the kit comes with bumper brackets.

Nope that wasn't my truck. That was a kid named Yuke. He hasn't had it in like 3 years though and isn't on any of the forums anymore. And those are just stock flares off a 98-00 I believe. Not sure though.

And for reference. This is 1" coils and 3" spindles with 33's

And here is 1" coils and 33's

(That is my old truck j99)
