Question about rear shocks/springs

The bed of my '98 Ranger 4x4 dips a little on the drivers side as you look at it from the rear. Could this be a shock or leaf spring problem, or both?

Its the ranger lean. All rangers do that.

Well, I need to "de-lean" it somehow. Looks crazy.

Post a picture if you have one. Might help us a little better.

It would be pretty obvious if it was a broken shackle or spring.

Can you post a pic?

No and no.

This has been covered a million plus times. All rangers do it. You need a spacer for the left side. That spring wears out faster and sags out before the right side.

Driver, battery, fuel tank all on that side (Ford's engineers don't know anything about weight distribution apparently).

If it was a broken shackle or spring it you woulds know it. The truck would't drive straight and would be ALOT lower (like 3-5" ) on that side.

I broke the front right shackle on my 94 ranger 4x4 and still drove it for about a week without any problem. I had a cargo strap holding the axle from going crooked but it didn't lean very much

Mine doesn't lean to the drivers side. It leans to the passenger side.

When the tank is full and someone is in the drivers seat, it sits level

a spacer huh? thats funny cuz my truck doesnt have a lean and most rangers that i have seen dont have a lean.
