To all you crazy lifted coil spring 98-06 guys...
Ok well I recently found out how Edge Rangers can fit 39-40 inch tall tires with only a body lift and spindle lift (and of course torsion crank), so I need to know if you guys running a 3 inch body lift and 5.5 inch suspension lift on what ever size tires have room? I was going to go with 35s but I want the biggest tire I can fit without rubbage. If any of you guys can tell me if your 35s rub as is or if you might have more room for larger tires that would be awesome. Id hate to buy 35s and hve plenty of room for 37s or buy 37s and not have enough room. I wont be gearing it until I know for sure, either 4.56s or 4.88s depending on tire size. I dont plan on running fiberglass either. Thanks

Well, you can go ahead and say that bigger than 35s will rub with a stock suspension... especially when your axle blows out and your fender does a nosedive onto the tires...
Don't go any bigger than 35s... If you are wanting to go really big, do a solid axle swap... probably cost about the same in the long run... counting repairs with huge tires on stock suspension...
I have 36s but I have a TTB which seems to be stronger than the 98+ suspension... I am in the process of a SAS...
I'm sure someone else will chime in.......

Im 2wd and I am running 37x13.50 claws on a torqed tbar 3.5 fabtech lift and 3inch BL with drop shackles and AAL's on the rear. I had to trim the rear fender becuse when I flexed it crawling over **** my tire grabbed my fender and bent it a little bit. I only had to do minor trimming to mostly the fender flare tho. My point is I dont know how the **** daytonabeach ranger ran 39.5's on the same lift. Mabey my Mazda is Different from your Ranger

I guess lifting a 2wd for a lot of you guys is all about looks heh. It'd be sweet to have my truck that high, but my front axle says nuh uh.

you guys need to start reading the posts before you reply to them. I mean damn, the thread name says Coil Springs and yall just start popping of about 35's on stock suspension or cranking T-bars..... yall are giving me grey hairs at 21

That guy SAS'd his truck just so he could have big tires.
But for the record, that truck isn't alike to the threadposters at all. Thatsa 2wd explorer and his is a 2wd ranger of a much different type/year. that exploder is ******* messed up. he axle swapped and didnt even put a driveshaft on. Its a d30 so it'll prolly explode if he did!

Thanks guys, I guess it is weird for most of you to see me try and lift the crap out of my 2wd but I dont need 4wd in the desert. As long as the rear is locked and I have big tires I can get anywhere I have to out there and pretty far into the mud too (So cal desert mud isnt very deep usually). I wanted to lift the crap out of this thing since before I bought it. I just want it to look massive and I think 37s have what I am looking for. But to be safe I will buy some used cheapo 35s and make sure since I dont really have the cash for a set of 37s brand new. I just wish someone local to me had what I want so I could see it and measure it for sure. Im not worried about frying the rear axle, I dont drive that crazy and I offroad on my XR, I just need something tall to get me there, but its not like a stock truck cant do that either. If anyone in the Pomona Area is lifted like that please pm me so I can come check it out. Thanks

I may have sounded kinda like a jerk in my first post and I apoligize... I thought you had a 4x4... Even still, 37s are gonna put a hell of a strain on the front suspension. IMO (that means MY opinion... lol) I would go w/ no bigger than 35s... and hell, if it's prerunning that you are planning to do, 33s would be good (plenty of flex room... a.k.a. no scrubbing fenders)...
