The difference is the style of your front suspension. Look underneath the front. If you have big springs, you would use a spacer. If you have big bars, you would just crank them up some.

I want to say I have springs. I will check. How hard is it to put the spacers or the torsion bar?

Spacers are harder but not too hard to do. Torsion bars all you do is turn a bolt which is very accessible. Takes 5 minutes.

So the torsion bar is the easiest route. Is it dependable and will I need a new alignment or anything? I thought I had seen things on having to get an alignment due to leveling kits.

You are 2wd correct? And you are XL model and not Edge or Sport? Then you do NOT have torsion bars. You will have coils. Sorry man.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you have coils. Either way I would get an alignment

Yes you have coils, I was just explaining the different ways to level a ranger for coils and torsion bar suspensions. You need a spacer to level the truck. Then, as stated, get an alignment.

You will need 2 inch coil spring spacers to level your rig.
