alignment question
i just bought my second ranger and as soon as i pulled it off the lot and got goin down the road i noticed i had to be holding the wheel to the left to keep it straight. needless to say i turned right around and had them align it and balance the tires.. it still does it. anyone have some imput on this? i noticed someone said something about balljoints, but i looked at mine. they seem ok.

I'm with tireiron. Sounds like they did a ****ty job and shipped it just so you were gone. I'd take it to another alignment shop, have it done right and then take the bill do the dealer and see if they won't pay for it since they just aligned it and it wasn't done right. Just my opinion though.

It's the road crown. Every 2 lane road in the country peaks in the center so water will run off. A perfect alignment should drift very slightly to the right. You're wasting your time, effort and money if you ever expect to get it to stop doing that. If it's significant that's one thing but if you keep complaining about it and it's not a big deal the shop will just toe the right front tire in to make it go to the left with no regard of tire wear but only to quiet the customer. Trust me, I've done probably a hundred alignments in this past year and no one ever wins this argument. Try driving on the wrong side of the road and if it still goes to the right then something is probably wrong. A brand new stretch of road is still built with a crown in it.
