Lift Education

I looked through this section and I didn't see what I am about to ask, if I missed it plz just let me know and tell me where it is so the forums dont get filled up with duplicates.

I have been reading other people's posts and I have seen things such as body lift vs suspension lift. using blocks, leaf springs and I think coils as well. Can anyone give me a quick run down of a few pros and cons of these. I would like to put a 3 or 4 in lift on my '96 this summer and right now Im not sure how it will be done. I will manly use it for highway travel, but I go hunting and fishing alot so I expect to have alittle fun when I go. Any comments would be helpful.

Thankyou

you could always put a straight axle up front and those are great for highway and towing. then you could acheive lots of lift for a not bad price. if not then you could...how i hate to say it but i must...put a body lift on. that would give you clearance to put bigger tires on and you wouldnt have to spend too much getting it. id reccomend a 3" lift no bigger. but i feel your best bet would be suspension.
