leaf spring rates
we have a pretty good idea on what torsion bars are what, at least as far as lightest to heaviest rate. i would like to get some info compiled on the leafs so we can determine the same rate info.
if we can get a bunch of guys in here with thier spring codes, and vehicle configurations i think we can put together a list. ill start
spring code = 1K
truck = 02 4wd ex.cab 4.0 manual
anybody else?

Like all LIIs, mine is 1C.
Here's a summary of the leaf springs that were listed for Rangers in 2003. Other late models are probably similar:
combined rating / pack thickness at axle pad / number of leaves / door code
2750 lb / 1.82" / 4 / code C
2600 lb / 1.64" / 4 / code K
2550 lb / 1.60" / 4 / code ?
All leaf packs are 56.5" x 2.5"
