a 4x4 sway bar work on a 2wd

like the title says need to know if this will work.

What gen is it from? Is the 2wd torsion?

I believe so, I bought the Thunderbolt kit from Hillbank and when I looked up the part number for the front sway bar it came up as the 4x4 sway bar which is about 1/8" thicker.. You just need new greased white brushings(not sure exactly what they are called) for the wider bar.

yep....the SLP/Roush Thunderbolts got upgraded sway bars...in the front, it IS a 4x4 sway bar. Installed one on my little brothers 4/5'd '01 and it fit beautifully.


so....yes.....a 98+ 4x4 sway bar will fit a 98+ coilsprung 2wd. It is already a given that a 4x4 sway bar will work on a 2wd torsion bar truck.
