ah i got the rears done I'm going to do the fronts tomorrow all though those can only go on one direction.
It was relatively easy i only had problems with getting the shock off the top stud but i figured out a easy way to do that is by swinging the shock in a circle repeatedly and tada! lol
i also would like to add i cant believe how much my bed doesn't sag now when i sit on it and i only weigh 145 LBS lol also took it on a rocky road thats has a good amount of pot holes and wow what a difference, I cant wait to do the fronts in the morning.

Bilsteins are designed to mount the way Ace has his mounted. 01 Ranger 4x4 also has the right idea, you are supposed to be able to read the logo on the shock right side up...
Although you think it decreases the likely hood of leaking, it also creates a sleeve to trap water if you leave the boot on them. Hence why I don't run boots. Yes it keeps dirt and such out of them, but that's why they make them with 0-rings. When they're mounted right, they don't trap anything.
Should look like this, which you already have done Ace:

You're incorrect.

awesome. I got the fronts done today all though i couldn't get the top nut as tight as i would of liked it b/c it you have to use an allen wrench and well those are not that easy to hold on to.
big thanks to Zach for letting me call him and bug him and ask him what to do.
