Thinking about Bagging the front of my truck

It been awhile since I've been on here, Ive been busy with school and working on my 89 mustang. I haven't done anything to my truck lately, my stangs been getting all the money, now I think its time for my truck to get some put into it.

Im thinking about bagging the front of my truck. Im not thinking about laying frame of anything I just want the adjustability and the fun that goes with doing it. My trucks lowered 2/3 now.

How low can you go with stock control arms? The drive height I want is no or little fender gap on top of the tire.

Ive been throwing this idea around in my head for awhile so Im just curious on your opinion. What do you think?

Heres a somewhat recent pic right after I took my sand bags out for the winter so the rears alittle high because i still had air in my air shocks for the sand bags.

if your going for the look just get djm arms it will set you right there, but you wont have adjust ability

I wouldnt bag on stock arms its not worth the hassle.

Get a set of djm arms and then bag you will have horrible camber issues with those stock uppers.

jason at suicidedoors.com has the best arms but not the cheapest but you can use your stock ones and still lay frame with some modifications. i bagged my 96 dr on 22's to lay with air ride tech arms iam not sure they make one for ranger thoe but i laid with 18's and stock arms iam sure ranger can to.

http://www.suicidedoors.com/BagBracketsBracketKits.php these are the brackets you need plus either a 2,3,4,link or bags over leaf for the rear

I like to use my stock arms for now just for awhile then get arms, Im not concerned about laying frame right now, I would just like the adjustablility for now because I still use my truck as a truck right now but it will eventually lay frame when its not really used as a truck.

in that case look into a bolt on front air setup that you can get from air ride tech or mostly any where like mec said summit, streetbeat ect...

i got an air over leaf kit made by air ride tech that will fit your truck for sale pm me if intrested it 100% bolt on and will lower your truck from 2-5 inches and raise over stock hight check it out. http://www.ridetech.com/catalog/AIRoverLeaf-28-1.html

Ive thought about that kit for the rear. How did u like it?
For the front heres what I'm thinking about

Slam 5 or 6 bags, which should I use?
Bag cups from suicide doors, gravity werx or illusive designs
5 or 8 gallon tank
3/8 or 1/2 valves not sure which to go with
And I don't have a clue what compressor to get
And of course all of the little other things like fittings etc

slams re7 are the best 2500lbs if you got a 4cyl , 1/2 line with 3/8 valves will get you a good enough speed 1/2 line and 1/2 valves will get you up off the ground at 200psi. as for compressors go with viair 380 and at least 8 gallons.

heres a pic of my blazer 18's with stock arms contitech 2600's lower spindles and air ride tech air over leaf and a small 2.5bolt in notch

Ive been doing some reading, Ive read that I probably would have to do alot of cutting to the spring pocket with 7s vs 6s, is there really a big difference between them?

By the way thanks for all of your help

either way you have to cut so the bag dosent rub its only alil more for the 7s but the ride quality is worth it and they use less psi to lift

as for the art kit ill give it to u for 120.00 plus whatever it cost to ship ill send u pics

Heres the setup Im thinking Im going to go with, what do you think?

DJM Control Arms
Slam Bags 6 or 7
Bag Cups (illusive designs)
3/8 Valves
1/2 Air Line
8 Gallon Tank
Air Over Leaf For the Rear (it will work for what I want to do right now, I'll eventually go 4 link)
Not Sure On A Compressor Yet, Opinions Are Welcome

I'm thinking of running 6 Valves, having the front bags independent of each other, so I don't get air transfer in corners, and running the rear together, Is this good or should I run 8 valves?
