suspension lift help
I'm deciding between a lift on ebay and the fabtech ultimate suspension left.. The lift on ebay is the Doetsch 3in spindles and 2in blocks for the rear. the lift runs about 350 shipped. first question is has anyone delt with this company and how is this lift. Now the fabtech ultimate lift is 5.5 in of lift and includes spindles, upper control arms, springs, shocks, aal, and blocks. this runs about 1300. My next question is does the extra money justify the extra 2.5 in of lift and the shocks. will they ride much different on the street. Truth is i'm not extremly concerned with the offroad performance as I doubt it will see enough offroading to break either setup. here is a link to the ebay auction. thanks in advance.

The Doetsch spindles work great! I have them for my RWD EDGE. Beings you have an XL, do they still use the spindles to lift it or wouldn't coils do the job? I guess the Doestch kit just uses spindles to give some lift and the Fabtech kit replaces the coils as well.
But to just get some more height the spindles will do the trick and they're made well. Myself and Griggs (N3ELZ) each have them and we've abused our trucks offroad.
You can prob get a little more lift just from some coil spacers if that's an option.

Well...with the spindles the truck sits higher. I have Rancho RSX shocks which are a great upgrade over stock. They're gonna be a bit stiff, but I don't know what you're looking for there. Oh and the turning radius went down some which is probably coupled by the larger tires and lower backspacing on the wheels.
But overall I like the ride. But it does ride like a truck.
Swaybar connected and it's real stiff up front. Swaybar disconnected soaks up the potholes better (susp acting independently) but there is more pronounced body roll (esp. with the lift)
