Monroe Reflex Question

I ordered a pair of 911013 and 911015 from Amazon for my stock 1997 2.3L Ranger. Good price, free shipping. One of the 911013 for the rear is missing the black spacer/tube (no idea what its called). Do I need it?

I emailed Monroe asking them to ship me one but it looks like I'll need to call them or I can RMA the shock back to Amazon. Either way means I won't be able to work on it this weekend so I'm hoping I don't need it. Is that a general part I can pick up from a local auto parts store?

See pic

Thx

Never heard back from Monroe but it's not needed. All 4 installed and I'm good to go.
