my weekend SAS pics (lots)

so im keeping the pics comin on my project this weekend i

almost finished flat deck
got mini tires on it
installed KING coilovers
started roll cage
primed roll cage (start of) and flat deck
wiring for togle switch plate ( back up beeper, front/ rear off road lights,)
new wheel wells
LOTS of finishing touches

You need to try and flatten out your panhard angles. You are going to get some pretty excessive feedback through your steering.

thats gonna be a big b!tch, I love it! haha

any predictions on when your gonna need to upgrade that D44? and are those limit straps, tight? those coil overs have a ton of travel left dont they?

yes i know about the panhard thats the next thing i do when i get it back from the shop for the driveshafts there putting in. i flexed it and it was real bad in the rear the front i think will be alright tho, what do you guys think?
and for the limit straps OMG thank you totoaly forgot haha not that i am planning on jumping it right away or mad flexing but yes you did remind me thanks

what did you mean by it was bad? I'm still learning, it looks kinda alright, but I also know its supposed to be long, low and level.. something thats not as achievable in the offroad world.

what are you paying for the front shaft? I'm trying to get a general idea for what i need to save.

Ryan both angles dont look too good. try getting both of them flatter.

truck looks good though, ton of work in it.

the bars are way to angled, the flatter you can get them the happier youll be when you start driving it around

it will fit, even if it doesnt adjust those coilovers and let it slide out. plenty of room!

what else are you going to do to the "bed"????? is that bar going down far like that to run an exo cage???

i have no idea i bought the front axle as a used unit somone bought it and put the disc break convertion on it and regeared it and all i just checked it for abuse and bought it. i do know he gave me a few spare shafts so i would like to know aswell actualy.

ah dude tons of work but im glad its coming to an end. there are things i will need to fix some sooner some later (panhard angles sooner haha)

oh yea for sure it will be much nicer it looks like it would be fairly easy on your truck hey ? my truck is so high the brackets are going to be huge i think ill just brace and extend my brackets down lower fron and back

yea and i have a full size spare for on top here is an idea of what it will look like till i do the front end of the roll cage. i could not finish it b/c i had an appointment at the shop for today so i left were i was and ill finish that next week

any one have any ideas for making something i can lock my tire on top and make it secure?
i have wa welder and i can fab metal but i just am looking for ideas on a good system for it any idea is a good one

You can find some type of hub to mount the rim on then just use a locking lug nut on it.

why didn't you 4 link it? It would have cured the issue with the track bar angles

if you dont mind me asking, you seem to have most everything you would have needed(rod end wise), and money may have played a part but those 39.5's weren't cheap lol

I think not only do the trac-bar/panhard bar angles need to be flatter, they need to be longer... almost the same length as your steering arm... The angle on mine isn't bad but i still get horrid death wobble, i've got to re-design this shops attempt and make mine much longer..

where were you hauling it to?

also check out Ruff Stuff Specialties, they make some type of tire tie down thing.
