Positive Camber After Wheel Swap *Pics*

First off here is my setup. 97 2wd with 1 3/4" lift up front from a spacer and 4 washers. I put on some 15x8s with 31s and had it aligned about 9 months ago, no problems.

Now I have this project Cherokee with 29s in my back yard. I wanted to swap the 31s on my ranger with the 29s off the XJ. The 31s are more aggressive and I would like to have those on my trail rig.

Problem is when I swapped them out; I seem to have gotten some positive camber on my Ranger. The photos somewhat show the camber but it’s more noticeable in person. I might just be hallucinating going from 31x10.50x15 to 235/75r15.

On to the pics cause I’m a photo guy…

Is the camber problem likely to cause uneven tire wear? I’d rather not send it in to get another alignment, its pretty pricey. Should I try taking out one washer at a time to lower the front end? Would that create some negative camber to solve my problem?

The priciness of your last alignment may have been because they installed a cam kit. Did they? If so, it's not so hard to adjust it and not as expensive as when they first installed it.

Have you checked the camber with a level or anything. Put it against the rim just below the edge, the same place on both sides.

Likely, taking out washers will make it worse. As the suspension returns to the "centered" position, it generally gets less negative, or in your case more positive.
