01 to 06 Sway Bar Fitment

I am wondering if a rear sway bar off and 01 4x$ will fit my 2006 STX.... Any help???

i think one off a BII bronco will work, thats what i have on my 2001

The Roush Thunderbolt sway bars have Ranger 4x4 part numbers on them, so I don't see you having any issues.

ya...it'll work with no problem what so ever. You need to make sure you get the U-plates that have the bushings in them, as your current ones will not work for the new bigger diameter bar.

I am talking NicksterSVT about getting his sway bar unless someone has a good deal on one with plates... I have never had a sway bar in the rear so yeah i would need the plates... Where could i get a set of u-plates???

Helwig makes them not bad price around $200

I just looked at the Hellwig and it says comes with all mounting hardware, but i am still wondering if it includes new u plates... I just put the new plates from DJM on there... didn't want to remove them, but it seems i will have to now... Let me know guys...

It bolts around the axle with U bolts look @ the instalation pages

It's a bar that ties the left and right side of the suspension together. When one side goes up the other side does as well, therefore stiffening the suspension, which minimizes body roll through turns allowing to take turns at a greater speed.

i took mine off and cut them up so they would fit in the garbage can

Mine still has the plates and all the other stuff to bolt it up. Nothing is missing.
