Best torsion bar how to - advice needed
Hey guys. I've recently made quite a few purchases that I have yet to install. I've got a freshly modified (by me) and powdercoated (by me) C4x4 winch bumper, a Superwinch coming today, and #1 bars sitting beside me now.
I'll be adding over 200lbs to the front end of my truck so the #1 bars just made sense to install.
I've got a couple "how to's" on removing/replacing the torsion bars pulled up on my computer right now but I was curious if I'm missing a better how to somewhere here or on any other Ranger websites?? The more pictures the better. I fully understand the process but as with anything new it does spook me a little bit. So I thought I'd ask the pros first. I'd like to keep away from taking the ball joints/tie rod ends loose if possible. I've already bought a Craftsman 7 ton - 2 jaw gear puller.. Anyone have any picture filled threads about torsion bar replacement??
GB :)

These are the two links I have to help me so far:
Changin' T-Bars - The Ranger Station Forums
Generation-Edge.info Forum - Torsion Bar Swap
Any better ones out there?

Got the bars in today. It was cake. The 7ton puller worked like a charm and didn't pop off once. I also didn't remove anything else to do it. I was really dreading it and thought it'd be a b*tch but it couldn't have been easier. I'd rather do those again than swap a tranny or rearend!
All by myself and with nothing but hand tools (no air or electric) it took me about four hours total including pulling the jack and tools from the shed. Only cuz I was very thorough and used Antisieze on everything but the adjuster bolts (loctite), and cleaned and painted everything as well..
Now I just hope it will be enough to hold the extra 210lbs of bumper and Superwinch I'm putting on tomorrow!! If not then I'll be in the market for some coilovers I guess..
