I have an 04 ranger, 2wd, with torsion bars and a 3" body lift on it and i am planning to put a suspension lift on it but i dont know which one to go with, can anyone please help, i have 33's on it and i want to go bigger

well u can do a lot...it really all depends on how much ur willing to spend and what u r going to do with it

 

For suspension lift spindles are the way to go

Camburg if you can afford it. If not that, Fabtech and Springtech makes a spindle lift for your truck. Pro Comp used to make one, so you might find a kit for sale used.

 

will spindles mess up my joints or anything, and i am willing to spend about 2000 on a lift and i would like to be able to fit 35's, i already have a three inch body lift, with spindles would i be able to get 35;s under it, i heard somebody has a coil over conversion kit is that true

 

are there any other ways to lift my truck besides spindles, any ideas?

 

The coil over conversion kit is the RCD kit. They stopped producing it and it is for a 4wd truck. With spindles you will have more wear on your suspension yes. So joints and other components will have to be changed more often. But its not that bad.

There is the Camburg kit and spindle lift. Do a search of both there are tons of results out there.

 

Camburg actually used to make a kit that allowed you to swap in coilovers, they never listed it on their website you had to call and talk to them about it. I'd give them a call

 

Whatever you do, do not buy spindles from Canuck Motorsports. I have been waiting or a month to get my spindles, they ent the wrong ones and I have't heard back from them in a week. Their customer services sucks big time.

 

Well that sucks because I was going to order from them when it came time.

Camburg Ranger

The entry Camburg kit comes with new upper a-arms with a uniball instead of an actual balljoint. It'll last longer and perform better. At $1700 the kit is actually a pretty good price.

 

Save yourself a lot of time and aggrivation. Go elsewhere.

Fabtech makes a light bar and Grizzley and Go Rhino make roll bars, they are not functional if you wreck though, just for looks and mounting lights.

 

If you want spindles go with fabtech.

 

Fabtech's kit is fine for a DD with occassional off-roading. This is what I have.

The Camburg stuff is made for much more intense off-road durability. If I was building a functional pre-runner I'd be going with this stuff.

There is obviously a substantial price difference. Depends on what your plans are.

 

with the money youll spend on a fabtech 5.5in kit you might as well spend that extra little bit of money and get the camburg it will ride and last 10x better than fabtech and canuck suspensions

i wish i still would have went with the camburg...

 

Why would he buy the 5.5 kit, it wouldnt fit.

 

ya does anybody know where i could get a pre-runner bar, and to go along with the lift will i need to regear it, i was thinking of getting a chip but i dont know which one to get

 

You'll have to find out what your stock gears are, look on your door jam sticker and then compare with this chart

 

So go with camburg how hard is it to install

 

The install doesn't look too bad. If you can replace the upper a-arm, a spindle, and some other related parts you'll be fine. Also mounting the limit straps could need welding, but I'm not sure.

 

So if i get the camburg lift will i need to get something to lift the rear or does it come with it, do u know any good sites to order this stuff from, shoot some ideas at me
