1994 I-beam lift on the cheap

I just picked up some 15" explorer rims and tires at the junkyard and they let me have a set of 2" lift blocks and u-bolts for free off a 95 ranger 4wd with a sas no t-case tho!!!, i was going to pull the whole thing if there was a tcase..

It got me thinking, I didn't see any f-150s, the ranger i got the lift blocks off of look to also have a 1 or 2" body lift, that or the bushings were brand new.
Anyway, I can't find washers to do a spacer lift. What I do have is plenty of time and tools.
Couldn't I just remove the stock coil "buckets" and drop them an inch or two on the frame and re bolt them and weld up some reinforcements?

I don't know about that but I got a leveling kit from rough country cheap then just added a leaf to the rear of my truck and it probably now sits 2 inches higher. All of it probably only cost me 250 to 300 dollars. Alot easier than moving the coil buckets.

Yes, but considering my budget is...oh, lets see, $0.
Only budget is what I get free at work, such as bolts and washers.

Do everyone a favor and leave your coil buckets where they are. Don't move them because not only will you endanger yourself but you will have to make custom drop brackets or buy some, and your alignment cams if you don't make drop brackets will cost a pretty penny. Just save up and buy a cheap drop bracket lift form pro comp or skyjacker.

If you know somewith with a lathe and some 3in dia chromoloy stock get them to machine you some coil spacers. I machined mine. .750 thick with a .375 (alil big) hole in the middle for the bolt to come threw. Cost me nothing and gave me about 1.5 inches of lift. I had them on almost a year now with no problems, well no problems that the spacers caused.

i did a cheap lift on ym truck. spent about 3 months rounding up parts to a grand total of about 180 bux for 2 inches all the way around. that included the blocks in the rear. since you allready have those, it'll be less. But when you lift the front you have to get some camber eccentrics or go through tires every 2 weeks. I got mine at napa for about 15 a peice. for the front you can lift it with washers if you really want to go cheap. probably end up costing you the same amount on washers and bolts as just buying a leveling kit though.

u CAN the coil buckets, but its not the best thing to do without drop brackets for the beams, but if u do make sure to trim the bottom of the bucket that will be hanging below the frame line from moving it.

Rear Suspension
rear blocks
shackles
AAL

Front Suspension
Coil spacers
New Coils
Drop bracket lift of some sort

I would do the blocks and shackles in the rear then do the coil spacers in the front and then do a bl and get around 3-5 inches of lift for around 300-400 bucks.

I want to do a body lift. I'm almost 100% positive the ranger I got the blocks off of had to have a 1" body lift as mine are either dead or are really only 1" thick.

What are these drop brackets you speak of?

there is a 1 inch "block" between the cab and frame stock you put the body lift on top of that block

1inch BL is hardly worth the time it takes to put it in anyways.

Just save up the 100 bucks or whatever and get the 2 or 3inch BL.
