Replacing Ball Joints This Weekend, need advice..
I bought some XCP Lower ball joints off ebay and my friend Nathnan said he'd help install them.. He has a ball joint puller but said I need to buy Coil Spring Compressors,, looks pretty straight forward, jack up the truck, put the front on stands with the back wheel with blocks behind them and the battery disconnected, remove the cotter pin, unbolt the lower arm, and use the puller to get it out of the spindle,, but installing it is where I go blank,,
help!

the only thing i can say is don't put off replacing them, lol. sadly, i know i have to replace much more down there when the time comes for me to do mine because i kept putting the job off. good luck with it! every thread i've seen about lower ball joints never seems to show too much trouble, so it shouldn't be too hard for ya.

I just replaced the Lower's on mine 2 weeks ago. The worst part for me was getting the old one's out. I couldn't get them out with the ball joint press I had. Instead I hammered them out it about 20 seconds, which was much easier. Installing them was much simpler and the balljoint press worked great for that.

When you get into this make sure you know how to put everything back in the order you took it out!! As for the joints if your worried about them being seized soak em in wd 40 the night before. On my 92 i didnt even have to soak them or anything i just slapped the puller on and pulled them out like nothing. Brakes are pretty straight forward, just remember to put antisieze on the pad clips and pin sliders. Only other thing i can say is have fun! lol

I did mine about 3 months ago best way too get the lowers out is too hit them out with a hammer then press the new ones back in< i tried pressing them out and it wasn't happening so i got the trusty FUBAR hammer and had them out in 5 mins check your uppers while your in there they should be Tight and hard too move if not you'll have too get a new control arm
Good Luck
