Is the pinch bolt FULLY out? It not only pinches the top, but also retains it with the body of the bolt. Might also need the lower shock mount unbolted along with swaybar to allow the lower arm to droop.
I've had to beat the hell out of mine even with the bolt off. Soak it well with some PB too.

i got it to come half way out with my dead blow. how hard will it be to put back in? i didnt release the lower shock mount yet will i have to to pound it back in?
the bolt was fully out and sprayed it down a cpl time with pb and beat on it with my dead blow for a good min it came right out

i would use the clamp. to get out and in, much easier than hammering. i used this video on youtube to help me, he shows how to orient things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4IPUUjKWBE
