Shackles

hey guys im wanting to make my own shackles and i was woundering if anyone had any pictures of how i can do so, i allready have 2in chevy shackles and i need more lift

any help would be greatly appreciated

Just buy flat steel, cut to desired length, drill holes, mount.

You could just get some flat steel and add it to the shackles you already have by bolting them together and welding them. I cant really explain it but i can picture it in my head.

why not get some bigger blocks or new leafs...idk about making longer shackles...the chevy ones already put way more stress on ur leafs....or at least makes them sag faster...

if i upgrade leafs what is the softest ones you have seen?

well i havent used any aftermarket ones..only ranger and expo..but i bet the skyjacker softrides are somewhat soft....or 1/2 ton chevy springs...

i've heard Skyjacker is the best unless you want to fork over the money for Camburg

You could try expo leafs. I wouldn't suggest longer shackles. I'm mean they're ok but can be kinda scary, I had some of the universal ones on my old B2 and they made me worry when I was wheeling.
