Shackles or blocks?

Well aware of the axle wrap that can occur with blocks. But which would be a better choice. 2" block or shackle? I am only running 31s now so fender contact would not be a problem with the shackle. Do shackles cause any unwanted problems like blocks do?

shackles move your axle forward i believe. i've heard horror stories about off roading and blocks, but that is only guys who double up on a block or under extreme conditions. i also didn't want the axle closer to the bedside so i went with a AAL.

might be something you wanna consider or look at.

btw, make a signature so we know what your truck is equipped with.

In your situation, it should make no difference which one you choose.

I'd go with shackles, but either would work.

I would imagine if your buying everything new shackles would be cheaper (belltech 6400's are 50-60 bucks) rather than buying blocks and new u bolts. Shackles will give you a little more flex too. Blocks may be a little less work if your leaf bushings are seized, but I'd recommend shackles over blocks any day.
