Superlift Prep
Hey everyone,
So I'm going to be installing my superlift, but before I do so, I want to make sure I'm completely prepared.
What are some things that I should replace while I have the front suspension taken apart?
I am already replacing both UCA's and lower ball joints. What else would you recommend?
Thanks

I basically changed everything when I did mine.
-inner/outer tie rods
-cv axles
-lower control arms
-upper control arms
-all new seals on front differential and fluid change
I didnt want to touch anything else after I did my lift for a while. Most everything needed replaced.

What seals are you talking about on the front diff? And did you also change the seals in the knuckles?

There's a seal at each end of the axle, a seal on the pinion shaft, and the diff cover seal.
Yea, wouldn't be a bad idea to do hub assemblies while its apart (it's a sealed bearing unit in the knuckle). They tend to go every hundred thousand miles or so. I did both of mine with the lift.

The seal in the knuckle you guys are talking about is the O-ring right? In the Superlift instructions it says you can re-use the O-ring from the factory knuckle in the new Superlit knuckle or you can just buy new ones. Or are you talking about the whole wheel bearing and hub assembly?
I'm talking about the wheel bearing assembly. The O-ring stuff is for trucks with PVH hub. You have a live axle, so you don't need to worry about it.

I'll look into replacing that. But when I last checked everything looked like it was in good shape besides the ball joints.
