My springs are shot. They have been for a while. THey sit almost flat. With the topper on there now I think it has contributed to their further flatness. I need new ones. I need some new ones with a higher payload. I really don't think I want a chevy spring swap. At first I thought I did but after reading some things about they truck not driving straight after a chevy spring swap I am second guessing it.
What do you think my best option is?
If you think a chevy spring swap is my best option then talk me into it.
Is my best bet some explorer leafs?
What about just adding an AAL?
I am open to all ideas.

I think Chevy Springs all the way, with the stock 2wd Chevy springs it will not track one way or the other. The only ones that have problems not going straight are the ones with the procomp lift springs for a chevy.
You want added payload? Better ride? More flex? Do the extra leg work and put the chevy springs on there.

I had 0 issues when I had the stock 2wd Chevy Springs, Evan (rangererv) has them too and he has no problems he loves them.
I have installed the Chevy leaf springs (2 procomp springs and 2 stock 2wd Springs) 4 times. Its really not that bad of a job.

Air chisel would be awesome. Actually any air tools would be great but unfortunately I have no compressor. I thought I was getting one for my birthday but I got a hands free device and a bench vise instead. Oh yeah and of course a near rear.
I have a grinder I don't mind sitting there grinding away metal. I will just get out the ear plugs and go to town.

you will need to drill 2 new holes per side.
not to mention you need to pull the bed off the truck
