Icon8 Superlift will not fit.

Hey i am currently putting in a lift kit from superlift in my ranger. Front went in fine other then i got 2 driver side torsion bar brackets, and the u-bolts in the back are to short. They just come above the plate. Am i supposed to stack the blocks or not. also when i put them on the axle they bend out. It is almost like they are not wide enough. Can someone please help.

Cheers
Chris

They want you to stack the blocks, and use the U bolts in the kit.

I voted a HELL NO on that, and used a short AAL and a shackle with the stock 2.5" block.

And I can't tell in your avatar, but If you've got a FX4 Level 2 or a 2002 Fx4, those U bolts will not work for you.

Get some Skyjacker leaf springs. not as cheap as an AAL, but I think they ride much nicer. Stacking blocks on the rear axle sucks...

Skyjacker Leaf Spring, Skyjacker Softride Rear Lifting Leaf Springs

I am running the 4" lift springs and the stock block. if you get the 6" lift leafs, you can take the stock blocks off all together and net 4" of lift.

Yes I know but what does AAL stand for. And if i put in the lowering schakels alone would that work.

AAL means "Add A Leaf" you add another leaf to your leaf springs to make them stiffer, thus giving you about 2" or so of lift... The shackles give you 1.5", so you need both if you do the AAL. I vote new leafsprings all together if you can afford it!

guarantee you wont find these anywhere except online. google them.

Skyjacker FR34 for the 4" leafs (leave the stock block on the axle to get 4" of lift).

Skyjacker FR56 for the 6" leafs (take the blocks off, nets 4" of lift)

Ya i am trying to find a place that is open on the weekend that has the right length U-bolts but every place that has them are way way to small. And the ones that I can find are for a trailer with square tubing. I am still waiting for the 4wd shop to call me back and see if they have the right length U-bolts. I told them I don't care if they are too long, i can cut them down if they are but I just need the U-bolts to fit.

Blocks create axle wrap, which will ruin your leaf springs among many other things.

I vote AAL and chevy drop shackle and you can keep your u-bots you have.
