Stuck In Spindle Installation

whatever the very bottom bolt is, it turns on an axis, maybe some sort of joint? having a real hard time getting it off, is there anything that's not real obvious that needs to come off? any pointers?

loosen the nut, beat the spindle with a big f'n hammer till it pops loose, then take the nut off and your game on that part.

should i worry about messing anything up hitting it with a big f'n hammer? being on an axis i don't want to hit it the wrong way.

if its what im thinkin, lower control arm ball joint, you should be fine if you only hit the spindle. Dont hit the stud with the nut on it, or you risk tearin up the threads, or destroying the ball joint. The reason why its "stuck" on there, is because the stud, and spindle are tapered, so when the two are pulled together, it basically becomes one, but allows the stud to still turn with the spindle.

this method of abusing the truck parts, is useful and safe in many ways. you may end up needing to do it to remove the tie-rod and upper ball joint as well. Sometimes safe than using the fork and tearing boots.

What are you talking about anyway, the lower balljoint? Some precision in your words would help!

That's been covered on here a million times. Thread the nut back on upside down so it just covers the threads, so you can hit the balljoint stud/nut combination to force it out. If you just **** on the stud, you may damage the threads.

You can also use a ball joint remover or "pickle fork" or other tools. All the information on this is already on here, with pictures in some cases, as it is elsewhere on the net.

If you're not talking about the lower balljoint stud, what are you talking about?

^^ should not need too after it pops free. if it takes to many hits, say 10, to the point where your damaging the spindle, then id look at using it.
