I have done some searching.....and I just am befuddled and missing some info.
My '05 is a 2wd. I figure the first mod to the suspension is the body lift, a 3" package.
What brands are good to look for?
Oh, and about spindles....how do they relate to lifting a truck? Isn't that part of a lift package you buy?
I know NOTHING about doing a lift, but after seeing some stuff here that you guys have done (like yellerEDGEchick 's, zabeard 's, Rangerboy03lvl2's), it's definitely next on my list. I think the body lift and new spindles would be first (cheapest), but I'd rather get to know more about this stuff before going into a shop looking for things.
just go with the body lift...its like u said, a 3" lift, and cheaper...u wont gain suspension height, but u'll be a little more up there and can fit bigger tires
yeah, i would do spindles(a lame attempt to sell mine) only because i have always been against body lifts, i like to lift the WHOLE truck up. mine are for sale btw :)
For 2wd, spindles are not significantly more expensive, they're easier to install IMO, and they'll actually increase your ground clearance under the front crossmember and suspension travel.
A spindle lift is a suspension lift, haha. Pro-Comp/Doestech (sp?) are popular brands, as are Fabtech spindles. You can try a google search (Froogle) or check out Ebay. A company called suspension max sells the Doestech spindles, which are exactly the same as the pro-comps.

hey i was wondering are those spindles that you have still up for sale. if they are would you happen to know if they would fit a 2003 edge 2wd.
Everyone and their spindle and body lifts and 35's. Not worth it on a daily driver with this gas prices. But thats my humble opinion. Do what you want.
Spindle lift would be your best bet and a set of 33's would be more than what you need.

The only true way to lift the "whole" truck up is by increasing the minimum ground clearance, and the only way to do that is to but bigger tires on it. So a body lift + bigger tires gives you the same minimum clearance and a susp lifted truck with the same tires but the body lifted truck still has a lower center of gravity.
the spindles are called Doetch[sp?] its THE SAME thing as procomp same company. tell them you have an EDGE when you buy it not a XLT
or i beleave 4wheelparts has them put darn near everyone has had problems with them.
go with a 15x8 wheel with a 3.25BS on a 33x12.5x15 tire. if you like a american racing style. there is eagle alloy 058 on ebay for about $270 a SET check it out.
