New lift....

I've been running 265/75-16 Firestone M/T's on my 2002 Edge with a body lift for the last year... They've been a decent tire, but now have the 4 inch superlift ordered, and was planning on running my current tires for the winter until i get 35's in the spring. My question is, will the tires look completely ridiculous with that much lift, and will i be unhappy until i get the 35's. My current tires are 31.6" high. Thanks

Unless you're going to be running a body lift and Superlift you'll be rubbing like crazy. But no, it won't look terrible.

yeah....they will look ridiculous being double lifted, the 265 are too small for a BL only!

ah okay. yeah, i will be running a body lift plus the superlift. I think the 265/75's look pretty good right now, the only reason i really got them was because i got a huge discount, and i got to keep my stock rims, which i like. So i will probably get 35's right away then. Any suggestions on a good mud tire that will ride decent on the road too? my firestones haven't been too impressive. i know none will be too great, it IS a mud tire... thanks

I am very happy with my 35" KM2s. Great on road and in the rain and great offroad. I haven't really had the opportunity to test them out in thick mud yet but they should do fine. I highly recommend them

Hmmm... will my 4.10's be able to pull them tires until i regear? They do great with my tires now, but 35's are alot more tire to move...

Yeah it can move them fine. It will be a lot slower and going up and down hills your transmission won't be happy but its doable. Theres a couple guys on here with that combo now.

I'm running 4.10's and 33's and it's not bad at all so I can't see where 35's would be THAT bad.

he said he had a 4.0 when he asked the regearing question. so 35s and 4.10 will be doable till you can regear.

edit: was beat to it.

alright, thanks guys! I will most likely re gear in the spring to 4.56's, but for now i'll keep the 4.10's. I do quite a bit more highway driving now than i used to since i go to college 65 miles away from home, what type of mileage should i be expecting with the 4.10's and 35's? I'm getting about 18 now...
