Got my new rear FOX emulsion shocks installed (pics inside)

Here's some pics. BTW the truck feels like a cadillac now.. the front will be getting the new coilover kit that was just released as soon as i get the money, but for now just the rear is done.. but man does it ever make a difference!!

and yes i know i need to paint my axle.. its looking pretty gross under there from all the mud and crap. a little paint could clean it up nicely. do you recomment i use paint or that rubberized rocker panel stuff? I have that rubberized stuff sprayed on my frame as of now.

Looks great! I just use the cheapest flat black paint i can get my hands on for the underside. How much were the shocks if you dont mind me asking?

Looks good! I'm gonna be ordering them soon as well!

I got a price quoted from Off-Road Warehouse for like $127/Shock...so I'm guessing he payed right around that...

Looks good but it kinda looks like those shocks are too long for your truck. Looks like they are sitting at about 1/4 of the stroke. might just be the pics though

I paid the ranger-forums rate from ORW for those, like what was mentioned. about $127 american each. border charges here to canada effed me huge tho.

thank god those crappy ranchos are gone.. i actually noticed they were bent haha. the part where the lower half of the shock slides into the "sleeve" of the top half looked as if they had been binding against eachother over every bump.. not good. lol

Looks sweet.. are they too long though? And while you're at it.. you should cut that exhaust off right at the turn down over the axle!!

now that i look at them, yeah they almost do look too long dont they? Dont think it really matters though, my trucks never going to flex so much as to bottom out the shock i don think.... who knows. either way they definately made a difference and they feel much better.

i agree about the exhaust, but once again that requires money lol.. one of these days

Ok just did a flex test on the rear and yeah they could definately be a little shorter... because under full flex the one side almost buries itself inside the shock cannister.. has about 4-5 inches of travel left (i didnt fully flex it out, just put it under what it would see on average witht he offroading i do) They'll still work fine though, i just cant flex it out to the max.

Chopping you exhaust off at the turn down doesn't cost money.. just take a sawzall or anything to grind through it and chop it yourself.. that's what I did...!!

I've got 2.0 reservoirs in the front of my superlifted truck, even with the torsion bars, the ride quality is amazing compared to stock!

I can hit rougher stuff faster and it doesnt bounce like it did!
