Poor-Man's Lift Kit
Hey all,
Has anyone simply put a 2" lift block in the back and lifted the front with a T-Bar cranking? Do the stock brake hoses have enough slack to achieve this lift without modification? I have not had the truck off the ground since I have had it and do not know the answer to these questions yet. If someone has done this, was there much of a change in the ride or handling? My goal is to mount 285/75 R16's under it (approx 33x10.5 I believe.) Thanks for the help.
(Sorry if someone has already posted this. I didnt look for too long)

Thanks everyone for the info. Now I just have to wait to buy the tires. I am seriously thinking about the Duratrac's. They seem like a pretty decent tire and they look very aggressive.

Also, the wheels rub when I fully lock the wheel left or right, but other than that (over speed bumps and pot holes) they havent rubbed yet

I wonder if yours was different being a little older and being 4x2? Any idea what your back spacing was? I tried 15x10s and i rubbed up front with cranked t-bars..

Wow. That's pretty impressive! Years ago when I lifted my Wrangler, I don't think there was much of any room on the brake lines.

If they had Duratrac's in my size, those WILL be my tire. BUT,,,,,they don't. So I'm SOL. lol.
