Lift Blocks

Im wanting to lower the rear of my truck an inch using lift blocks, and was wondering if cast aluminum (or some sort of aluminum) is ok to use?

do you know any part stores (car quest, autozone, etc) that would have steel blocks? autozone has aluminum ones.

my truck seems to be sinking lower and lower. lol but it isn't going any lower after I lower the rear cause then it starts costing alot of money.
