Superlift - What Tire Size???
Superlift - What Tire Size???
I am getting ready to put a Superlift setup on my 2003 XLT 4x4. The 4" suspension lift plus the 3" body lift kit, so I can run 35's. My mechanic is telling me that if I run 35's with this lift, I face the problem of breaking ball joints due to the IFS and possibly other problems. He said that I would be better off just getting the 4" suspension lift and running 33's.
I have seen a lot of Rangers with this set up (suspension/body/35's), so I need to know if any one out there with this setup is having any problems (i.e. ball joints, etc.)

Any time you modify a vehicle beyond how it came from the factory you run the risk of part failure. I run 35's with a SL and a 1" bodylift and it is not a if I am going to have part failure it is more like when and be prepared for when it happens.

I don't think he did a thread detailing his swap. Go to the forum section "build logs" and look at "034x4"s SAS thread. He has good pictures and whatnot.
