4-link with dual shackled leaf springs

Anyone have any experience with this set up?

If so, what are any advantages/disadvantages over a stock leaf spring set up.

If it offers anything at all I believe I'm going to do this, then maybe later switch to coils.

Thanks

Im assuming you mean dual shackles as in one shackle at either end of the leaf and not two shackles stacked up on one side, correct? My next question is why even bother with some jerry rigged 4 link? A set of stock TJ coils would work pretty well in the back of a truck and would most likely be either free or super cheap.

Yes, one shackle at each end of the leaf spring.

Thats why I'm asking about advantages/disadvantages, to see if it's even worth bothering with.

I was planning on putting coils in later, but I may just wait and do it all at once.

I guess its ur truck but idk if i like the idea of dual shackles. Whats the point? If ur looking for wheel travel u'll find it in a set of deavers. Much safer imo.

Stock spring imo are perfect for a daily driver/weekend warrior. They are very flexable... pretty tough... but can still hold a bit of weight if you need to haul something.
