Tapping sound from passenger wheel when turning left?
So this has been going on for a while now and I can't find what the issue is.
When I am coasting or accelerating and turning the steering wheel to the left I hear a hollowish "tap, tap tap" that sounds rotational... (not metal on metal sounding, more of like someone taking a small wood spoon and tapping the inside of the fender liner) IE it gets faster or slower when I am turning left.. which is coming from the front right passenger wheel?
I am almost 100% positive my front right rotors is a little warped and that will need replaced but I can't be 100% that is even related or if there is a way to test that.
Ball joints are about 7 months old and are MOOG.
I checked steering and suspension and everything is tight. It does not make this noise when going straight or turning right, only when I am going through a left turn or a slight left turn does this "tap, tap tap tap tap" noise increase/decrease depending on speed.
Looking for any suggestions honestly.
I checked the swaybar/brackets, links..etc. Nothing is broken or sheered off. This is strictly a highway DD.
I'm puzzled to say the least.
There is no loose steering or wobbly suspension that makes me feel like I have to drive carefully or that something safety related is of a concern. I checked to see if anything is rubbing and it doesn't appear so. I rotated the tires and even moved a wheel from the back to the front and same deal...
Thanks,
-Nigel
