im running 4" wranger lift leafs and my truck is spring under axle, for now.
its just as tall as a 98+ 4x4 with a bodylift and t-bar crank.
your truck would be to heavy for wranger leafs, your best bet would be something with almost the same gvw as your ranger, i want to say maybe a toyota.

yea i was thinkin 40's...and i would probably use chevy leaf springs..im really not worried too much about if its going to ride rough because theres no way of avoiding that unless i go with coilovers...which is doing a coilover set up much more expensive than leafs?
i saw a ranger with a dana44 front and a dana60 rear on 38's and it looked awesomee so i am just trying to figure out around what size leaf springs to use.

ya it will work but what type of wheeling are u gonna be doing mud? rock? fire roads?sand? what size tires what ratio u wanna run is it gonna be a dd or trail rig only and how much are u looking to spend all play key factors
theres some guys that will say dana 44s are good
imo i dont like them i wouldnt ever run them
but there guys that have and haven had any problems
i would look into a 60 but they cost $$ most of the time u can find them cheap u just gotta look for a while
or if its gonna be a straight trail rig save some money and get 2.5 ton rockwells
