Leaf Springs for a 98

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger Extended Cab Flareside with a 4.0 and 4 wheel drive. I have a problem with my passenger side leaf spring in the back, the helper spring in the middle is cracked. Does anyone know of a fairly cheap quick and dirty fix for this. I am out of work until Sept/Oct so money is tight and i really want the corner to stop sagging. Any help at all would be awesome.

PS.
I priced new ones up here in Central NY and they are like 220 each side, so any other advice then buy new ones would be great.
