i think (corect me please) the best coils to use would be the XJ coils and the biggest i could find would be the 7.5" lifed coils

is this what i should be lookin for and if i am running 39.5's then im thinkin i need to still move my coil buckets on the frame down some still.. insted of doing that are there bigger ones than that or others i coul use insted ???

 

you can run bronco coils.. looks at big04ranger's build.

heck you can run just about any coil you want, depends how you build it and what you build it for.

 

just remember that cause it says 7.5" lift for an XJ, doesnt mean it will give you 7.5" of lift.

any idea what would give a softer ride (that i gues depents on spring rate dosnt it)

i think the XJ coils have about the same diamiter so the buckets woulnt have to change to much.

 

iv heard that jeep coils are too soft for ranger SAS apps.. from what i have read wild horse and BCbroncos seem to be the norm for SAS. im runnin BC broncos. rides a lil stiff but that mostly due to my dual shocks up front

 

xj springs are softer, my RE ones are really soft.

 

They make 9 Inch lift springs for 78-79 Broncos. They are 22 inches tall. With the spring rating rated for a fullsize with a V8, Puttting them on something like a Ranger you would have very little compression. Giving you a huge lift

 

Go with air shocks or coilovers!

 

Way to stiff.

just 22" ? mine are 22" with weight on them and 24" with no weight if i remember correctly and they are XJ 5.5" lift springs.

 

I run BCBronco 6.5" lift coils and they're 24" long free length and 19" under the weight of my truck. I left my coil buckets full height and did not move them down and I got betwee 6-8" of lift. If you move your coil buckets down an inch or two that will gain some more lift. These coils flex and ride well.
