How to recognize Ready Lift's torsion key?!?

Hey all, a few days ago I took my ranger to a garage to have a few few things done on it. They put a bodylift, some shackles, some 33's and they were supposed to put some ready lift torsion keys. But yesterday I put my truck on my father's lift and when I looked at the torsion keys the bolt were all the way in and the torsion keys REALLY looked like my original ones. Another strange thing is that they put all my stock parts in a box for me to keep, but guess what, the stock keys aren't in... Now I'm ****in pissed, but before going back to the garage to stirr **** I juste want to be 100% percent shure that I'm not mistaken. So can any one help me to know see the difference between the stock and the Ready Lift torsion keys. So far, the only numbers I was able to see on it were "9232".

So... any one can help in any way?

I cant answer your question but lift keys are a waste of money anyways. I would just get my money back for the keys and consider yourself lucky to not of wasted money on new keys unless you have an 08+

I have a 2010. Ford is ghey for making are truck so low. Keys are the last thing I need for my truck to be perfectly level and lovely haha. And I want to have the keys because when the bars will sag I'll still have some cranking left to keep it the the same height. If I only crank the bars, the front will slowly sag and that'll suck.

Haha, oops... thought you were a diff person than the original poster.... I obviously need to go to bed, haha. I thought you were just some random person rambling.

Anyways, I would google a picture of the keys... compare to what you have... if you have something that doesn't look like it, or doesn't look brand new.. then ask them if maybe they forgot to install them.

You could always call Ready Lift and ask them what they are supposed to look like, any markings they are supposed to have etc. If you didn't get your originals back... go back and ask why...

They assumed that because you weren't going to install them yourself you are stupid. People get ripped off by shops doing similar things every day.

What did it cost you to have a shop do all the work?
(on a side note)

I would love to see pics of your truck also.

take a look at these indexable keys

SuspensionMAXX :: MAXXCam RS - Adjustable Torsion Bar Lever

if your bars start to sag

you take them out and re-index the keys and put them back in

Dude either way I'd go to the shop and tell them to give you your keys. Even if it's the old ones they're yours.

Well I had an appointment for my alignment and I couldn't use the lift at that moment because my father was rebuilding a dodge ram. Stupid **** I know, if I knew that would happen trust me I would have waited a week lol.

Well. I got there, spoke with the owner. I showed him that the keys were still the stock ones. He opened a brand new box of ready lift kit for Rangers to compare, and he saw that I wasn't bull****ting him. He seemed pretty honest and frustrated about that situation. He promised that what ever happens, I'll get a pair of brand new ready lift keys. Overall, if everything goes like it should, it will end up pretty well. I'll keep you all informed.

Lol I don't know for your part of the world, but in mine, they don't hold in stock these type of parts. He simply had it because the next day he was going to install it on another ranger. Anyway, I know it,s still a bit fishy, I'll stay alert.
