box weight capacity?

I was wondering what the Max Weight Capacity to put in the box is for a 03 FX4 Level II Ranger is, or any 03 Ranger. I have shackles too, if that affects it.

I have to load up a snack vending machine and they weigh between 650 and 800lbs, just wondering if my truck will take it for 3 hours driving.

It should be in your manual.

From the manual:

• Payload: Combined maximum allowable weight of cargo, occupants
and optional equipment. The payload equals the gross vehicle weight
rating minus base curb weight.

Well, in all truthfulness him and his awesome mechanic told you that.

And you wont have a problem with that much weight, although your back end will sit lower.

Had 1200#'s of rocks and mulch in an 03 Edge 2wd and it was bearable... Over that it started to get squirrely.... If you can, keep the load over the axle, and drive slower.
