Deciding on a truck...lift questions

Hey guys im new to the forum and also new to the truck customization scene and i have a few questions. Im looking at a ranger fx4 no specific year yet but i was wondering are there any year rangers i should be looking for and is the dixon brothers 4wd long travel kit really worth the money? What set up would i run in the rear with that kit? And will it work with on a fx4? Im planning on using the truck as a work/dd/toy so it needs to be practical yet still be bad *** offroad. I hate to ask a million questions but a friend of mine referred me to this forum and said you guys know the best way of doing things. Anyway thanks for your time and i hope you guys can shed some light on my problem

Around where we are here in Ontario I would say it isn't worth the cash as we don't have too many places to use it to it's potential. I'd stick with a BL or a Superlift if it were my truck!

The Dixon bros kit is defiantly worth the money. But for you application I don't think it would be. A simple lift and shocks(if needed) would be best. You can buy used RCD lifts here in the classified section. There is 3 or 4 that I know of for sale right now. Or you can get a superlift for about $2,000 of various websites.

I really like the look of the dixon bros kit it makes the truck look meaner gives it a better stance andthere are some decent trails near my house just up in the boonies where could let her loose. Looks like the new truck is going to be alot more expensive than i planned! im still not sure what to do about the rear suspension
