Be straightforward I guess. If you own your truck fully, then say you are going to do what you want to it whether they like it or not. They know you best if they can trust that you are responsible enough.
I used to do things like that (don't come off like an *** either), they always got over it, and we always end up cool.
Convincing will most likely not work, and could lead to begging

You are 23 years old. Who owns your truck and where do you live?

Hey man like they say i think that this dicision should be completely up to you. I would not go with a suspension lift though its two wheel drive and though it may look better its probably not reall going to improve it. plus it would cost to much. Now on the other hand yes it would give you more body roll if you do just the body lift. but i think it looks great.

Just buy some tires that are too big to fit, then you will have to get a body lift.

tell them about wheel spacers and get a set, just say if the wheels sit ou a lil farther it will counteract the lift hieght. or just show them some of the SASed rangers on here and say, mom these guys lift them and i dont know of anyone who has rolled them either. seeing something like an SAS and seeing it not rolled would make a BL look like childs play. But i dont know your parents so that may not work haha

i just told my dad it was my truck now and he cant say no, i just recently payed it off in full tho , handed him 6000 in cash and he was like its your you can do what you want, so if you cant convince them just pay it off and when you do do what you want to it

Just do it and dont ask them. Unless their name is on the title. Yesterday my parents were out of town and I took off the bed and left it in the garage for them, if I would have asked they would have said no. I have found it fun to see their reactions, when I do $hit I know they dont like.

my truck is 2wheel drive. my suspension "lift" improved handling alot!
and being 2wd or 4wd, why would it matter? lifted trucks dont have to be 4x4, i can post a million pictures of 2wd trucks, and cars, that will get through just about the same stuff as a 4x4, except for rock crawling....

As far as lifts go, body lifts will raise your COG the least. They still keep the engine, trans, etc. in the stock place, where all that stuff would go up with the cab/body on a suspension lift. I didn't care to read if anyone had said that before, but that's my two cents.
