Lowering Questions...

I've just got a few slightly technical questions for you Guru guys/gals... These apply to a 2003 Edge 3.0 Auto, btw.

1) If I take the blocks out of the rear, will I need Ubolts for a 2001-up XLT w/ 8.8" rearend?

2) If I take the bolcks out of the rear, will I need Shocks for a 2001-up XLT?

3) I have the front T-bars all the way down (rough ride), should I upgrade to the Bilstien HD XLT shocks for the front, or have the front measured for shocks?

4) Does anyone have 29" (actually physically measured) tires and the blocks removed so they measure the distance between the tire and the wheel well?

I think that's pretty much it...

Thanks

Thanks Guys.

The Bumpstops might come next payday, becuase I noticed a little while ago that it's sitting on the bumpstops.

If I still have 3-4 inches after removing the blocks could I use the 3" lower leafpack and use a shackle to tune the height to match the front?

I'm assuming any local 4x4 shop can measure me for shocks front and rear, but I guess I need to finish my lowering first...

D you have helped me out so much! Thanks!

Oh and I'm guessing traction bars will be a must with those lowered leafs and driving on a sandy dirt road??

Alright, I went to a dealership to see if I could get a decent price on some U-bolts (bad idea) They woman at the parts desk didn't even know what a ****in' U-bolt was untill I showed her a picture of one. Then I went to the local Truck accessory place and they could only get lifted ones. Next I started hitting up all the autoparts stores in town and Autozone had a pair for 12 bucks.

Although I did only buy one set haha. I got home and realized I needed 2 sets, but I'm broke anyway, so I guess it worked out lol.

'Next I'll be buying some shocks from somewhere... Probably Summit Racing because I haven't bought anything from them in a while.
