the block is a bad way to go.... and i have not seen anyone here mention one of the cheapest and best ways to go... just ADD A LEAF! go to summit racing.com and buy the procomp add-a-leaf kit. i think i paid around $35. i left my stock block in and it gave me 2 full inches of lift in the rear, i also have the lift shackles.
going this route will be very cheap, safer than blocks, less axle wrap then the factory leafs by themselves, and your truck can carry a little more wieght making the truck MORE USEFUL!! i honestly noticed no difference in ride quality as well. it did not make my truck ride harsher at all.
