What should i do to my ranger?

Im not sure if i wanna lift or static drop?

Can u help me out guys...

I like the lowered trucks because of the looks. Im a drag racing fan and like the low cars but i race mx and stuff so i couldn't get around very easily with a lowered truck. I like to go mudding and stuff but idk thats why i came to y'all.

do whatever you want haha. Throw a body lift on and 33s would be pretty cheap.

Lift it. IMO trucks should not be lowered. S-10s are the only ones i think can pull it off, but still i find dumb. And since you have the step side bed, it should be lifted i feel also. Thats just my opinion on this thread.

I personally dont like the look of a lowered excab truck. If it was a single cab I would dump it.

Lift it man, you don't need alot of lift on there at all to make it look real nice. For example, here is my rig with a 3 inch spindle lift and expo springs with a shackle....

help on lift

I want to lift my 1995 splash 3.0 v6.
I'm not sure what to get i don't want to get a big *** lift just something like a 3" or something.
but the front sits low so if i get a lift kit and the shocks it comes with would raise it 3 plus like it was or stock height?

I don't want to buy new shocks and leafs and stuff then get a lift and have the stuff come in the lift. you know what i mean?

Thanks ,

I just bought the Fabtech front spindles. Not sure if thats avaible for your rig or not. Then I swapped in some Ford Explorer rear springs with a Belltech 6400 shackle. That lifted the back end 4 inches, and the front is lifted 3. That's it.

For a coil spring I would go with a lift kit. Its not much more than a body lift. The reason a lot of people go with a body lift is because the suspension lifts for the 4x4 trucks are 10x more than a body lift costs. Nothing wrong with a body lift, I had one on my Ranger. Theres a lot more to fix after a body lift compared to suspension, like exhaust, hooks, bumpers, hitch, etc, etc.

you could get new shocks and then get a 3 inch body lift. or you get get a suspension lift which usually comes with shocks.

For now until you decide what you REALLY want to do. Get tint, exhaust, intake, stereo system if your into that. Stuff that would work and look good on both a lifted and lowered truck. Then once you make a decision, come back with more info of your truck, and we can point you in the right direction

It appears to me that you have a 2wd, so you have various lift options because of your year truck. Any Pre-98 lift will work for you. Rough Country offers a 4" lift for cheap, or you could get a 2" leveling kit. Leveling kit's come in spacers or coil springs. A body lift can yield 3" of lift. I personally would look into suspension lift's because they are cheaper with your Gen truck, and they look cleaner. You will need about 7" of lift to fit 33's and about 4" for 31's to fit nicely.

Also, the lift kits that include drop brackets can yield an addition 2" of lift if you add some spacers or a larger coils. Just something that you could consider.
