thats basiclly all the bands are in the kit one big *** hose clamp about 23" long it comes with new cradles with doublesided tape on them

did you do put abunch of smaller ones together? or did you not put doublesided tape on the back of the cradles and it spun around on the rim?

i wish you could read your tire pressure with out system but i love how its so dumb your dont have to reprogram the sensors after rotation or anything like the superdutys

not entirely sure what you're saying there michael...

i just don't like the light on my dash flashing constantly... i went to ford, talked to service and parts, parts told me the part number i need is "TPMS-3" and TPMS-6 (6 is the bands, 3 is the sensors) you DON'T want to know the prices each...

i can totally read the pressure without the system, but why make more effort for my self, when i have a system built in?\

as for programing them, the computer on the truck looks for 4 sensors, and pairs it automaticly, when it stops reading the 4 that it was reading, it looks for 4 new ones... so essentially, if i buy a set, and put them on my new rims, it will automatically pair them all to my ecu/ecu what ever

so now the question is, who has the tpms-3's and who wants to sell them, and how much?

you dont have such built in system our system only lets you know the a tire is more than 25% below 30psi what i was saying about the superdutys is they have a digital display you can set in the driver seat hit a button and read your pressure in each tire but its a pain because the computer needs to know where each sensor is on the truck

and you are correct on how the sensors work if no one has a set to sell use the links i posted above

i put a bunch of smaller ones together. then taped the sensor around the band (double sided then wrapped the **** out of it in tape) and it just fell out of that at some point and bounced around the tire freely....they pretty much exploded

you should be able to replace the kind that are banded (like the blue ones silverfox posted) with the kind that fit in the valvestem (like the first img on the first page)

correct me if I'm wrong but I believe i'm not.

I'm pretty sure this is true also, depending on what brand they are. I know the Dorman replacements are that style.

lol, note to self, do not do this... on the other hand, you have home made ballancing (dyna)beads... lol

jp, i'll have to confirm for sure that the valve stem ones are interchangeable with the band style, i would hate to get them and find out they don't fit...

brandon, pm sent
