*FACEPALM* Good job Dad

So my dad is buying my new rims for Christmas. I shopped around, picked the correct backspacing, got the style I wanted, found them on Summit. PRINTED OUT THE WEBPAGE. And gave it to him. "Go up to Summit, hand it to the guy at the ordering kiosk. Tell him that is what you want. 4 please." And that was all he had to do.

Long story short....here's what I what I wanted.
American Racing 1725865 - American Racing Polished Baja Wheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Here's what he got.........
Eagle Alloys 0589-5812 - Eagle Alloys 058 Series Polished Wheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com

They look similar, so that's fine. They were only like 3 dollars more a piece, also fine, not my money. I figure the ONLY POSSIBLE WAY he could have screwed this up is they weren't in stock. That has to be the only way. Otherwise my father is completely retarded. So the Summit guy probably went "Oh these are close enough." And that's what I got. The only issue is this:

This is the correct BS and Offset:
American Racing Polished Baja Wheels
Backspacing (in) 3.750 in.
Offset -19.00mm

This is not correct:
Eagle Alloys 058 Series Polished Wheels
Backspacing (in) 3.250 in.
Offset -30.00mm

Do you think that will be an issue?

Someone will chime in with a link soon enough.

You're lifting the truck right? So the eagle alloys will be better. Less backspacing = stick out more = looks better. The eagle alloys have bigger holes too so they look better.

The Eagle Alloys look better anyway... and will look better when they stick out farther. Be happy and appreciate getting an awesome gift from your dad.

what they said... your dad hooked you up. you dont have any taste in wheels at all if you actually liked the first choice over what your dad ordered you.

Alright, alright. Enough. I get it, it sounds worse than it is. I want to go into a rant about how you guys know nothing about my family situation but I will save it. But the point is, you know nothing about my family situation. So yeah, am I little critical of my father, yes, but with good reason that I will not go into. But I digress. I do appreciate him buying them for me. I really do. If it wasn't for him and my mom I wouldn't have half the cool sh*t I have now. They are great parents. And yes I am a spoiled rich kid. Sorry.

I called Summit and they only had 3 of the Bajas in stock! So that is why he did not get them. Mystery solved.

I would be tickled ****less for my dad to be able to buy me wheels for Christmas. Unfortunately, his business hasn't been doing that good as of late, and I'm just tickled to death to be able to go home and see him. You learn to appreciate what you get, and be happy with it. Quit complaining and just be happy they are wanting to help you with your truck. Did you even pay for the truck? Or are you ungrateful that they bought you a ranger as well?
