04 Ranger, Rim size.

I have 10 inch rotors and brake drums on my 2004 Ford Ranger Regular Cab. I hate my current stock rims and I would love to upgrade them. I have been keeping an eye out on Craigslist to try to find a nice pair that I like. My plan is to find a pair with okay tires on them and then take it to a shop that will replace the tires. My current tires are two years old, and I always slip on wet roads, which in Florida is bad. So I am in need to a tire change, so I thought I should do both at once.

What size should I be looking for? I will probably post some pictures later.

Thanks.

You could fit a 15" rim with a 265 tire on it. Smallest I'd recommend on the wheel, and biggest tire if you don't have any lift.

I added the tape measure to give you guys a scale. From the edge of the bottom of the rim to the top of the rim is 16", so that would be my rim size right?

So I should be able to fit either 15" or 16" rims right? What about 17"? I have no lifts, just the stock height.

Ohh, okay. Wasn't sure about how to measure them so glad I asked. So I can only fit 15" is there any thing else that I have to look out for? I am limiting my search to Ranger rims only, are there others that would work too?
