17x8" rims...will there be any rubbing?

I have a 2011 ranger 2wd, I want to go up in size and run 17x8" rims with 4 1/2" backspace tire size 255/55 and possibly without the use of wheel spacers. I'll be keeping it at stock height. I'm concern about tire rubbing or wheel contact with suspension or body. Has anyone used this set up before? help me please!

Are you 2wd or 4wd?

Either way it will fit. But its easier if you include a sig with the info of your truck.

I have 18x8 +18mm offset AR Phantoms with 255-50's. No rubbing or clearance issues whatsoever.
And thats with tired sagging coil springs up front. I cant testify how they would fit a torsion bar truck, probably fine though.

My truck is 2wd. I really don't want to use spacers I heard a lot of bad things about them. If I have to ill go with 16x8" rims.
